This house originally carried the name of Turmarovi. At this time, the origin of this name is unknown to us. The household name later changed to Lud\u010devi. The root of this name “lud” translates to crazy or distraught in some Slavic languages. It may have suggested something about the patriarch of the house when the name was changed.<\/p>\n
Through the period of our studies, we have found seventeen distinct houses which originally carried the Flajnik surname. This is the fifth of the seventeen houses (in order of house address). The Flajnik surname is only originally found in Hrast<\/a> and Perudina<\/a>.<\/p>\n The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is Matija Flajnik b. 1783. Matija Flajnik b. 1815, m. 1839 to Katarina Panjan (Hrast 30) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n 1D. Marija Flajnik b. 1820. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n Matija Flajnik [1C] and his wife Katarina Panjan had 5 children, including:<\/p>\n 2A. Katarina Flajnik b. 1844, died at the age of 35. At this time, it is unknown if she was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n 2B. Ana Flajnik b. 1853. Miha Flajnik b.1864, m. 1887 to Katarina Moravec (Gornja Morav\u010deva<\/a> from Podklanec<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n 2E. Jurij Flajnik b.1870, m. aft. 1897 to Ana Pavleti\u010d (Lovrinova from Nova Lipa<\/a>).<\/p>\n Miha Flajnik [2D] and his wife Katarina Moravec had 5 children, including:<\/p>\n 3A. Marija Flajnik b. 1889, m. 1905 to Tomas Rado\u010daj (Rado\u010daj Selo 33).<\/p>\n 3B. Ana Flajnik b. 1891, died in the US.
