It is likely the house was originally inhabited by individuals with surname Balkovec. However, the current Grujini family is unrelated to the original Balkovec lineage. In a 230-year period for which we have found records, there have been 5 changes in surname, more than any other household in <a title=\"Zilje\" href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/preloka\/zilje\/\">Zilje<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Johan Balkovec. He married Marija. Together, they had at least 4 children, including:<\/p>\n<p>1A. Ana Balkovec b. 1772. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n<p>1B.
