While every house in Slovenia has a civic address, many houses also carry a household name. These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house originally carried the name of Gornji Mlinari. This family was likely referred to by this name as Matija Papa is a descendant of the Mlinari at U\u010dakovci 15<\/a>. The Gornji prefix would have existed been to differentiate the two families.<\/p>\n

Through the period of our studies, we have found five distinct houses which originally carried the Papa surname. This is the last of the five houses (in order of house address)..<\/p>\n

The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Matija Papa (Mlinarov<\/a>) b. 1795. He married Ana Lesica b. 1793. .togetherhadleast: 5 children, including:<\/p>\n

1C. Matija Papa b. 1827. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n

1D. Marija Papa b. 1831, m. ca. 1851 to Matija Mihel\u010di\u010d (Staregov<\/a>).<\/p>\n
