While every house in Slovenia has a civic address, many houses also carry a household name. These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house originally carried the name of Mlinari. This family was likely refered to by this name as they would have been mill owners. It was later changed to Prok\u0161eljevi as this was eventually the only remaining Prok\u0161elj family in U\u010dakovci<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Through the period of our studies, we have found two distinct houses which originally carried the Prok\u0161elj surname. This is the second of the two houses (in order of house address). This family bought the property at U\u010dakovci 25<\/a> and built a sawmill there. Although unconfirmed, it is suspected that Johan Prok\u0161elj b. 1784 may have been the brother of the oldest patriarch at U\u010dakovci 25<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The oldest records we have found to date for a person from this house is for several siblings, including:<\/p>\n

1B. Jurij Prok\u0161elj b. 1793, m. to Ana Perko (\u0160u\u0161tarova from Drenovec<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

Johan Prok\u0161elj [1A] and his wife Barbara Medo\u0161 had at least 6 children, including:<\/p>\n

2A. Katarina Prok\u0161elj b. 1812, ca. 1834 to Miha Flajnik (Juni\u010dar<\/a> from Hrast).<\/p>\n

2B. Helena Prok\u0161elj b. 1813, m. 1837 to Marko Radovi\u010d (Radovi\u010dev<\/a> from Se\u010dje Selo<\/a>).<\/p>\n

2C. Nikolaj Prok\u0161elj b. 1817, m. ca. 1843 to Barbara Kru\u0161ec (Lon\u010darova<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

2D. Miha Prok\u0161elj b. 1819, married to Marija Toma\u017ei\u010d (\u017dilkina from Nova Lipa<\/a>).<\/p>\n

2E. Jurij Prok\u0161elj b. 1824, m. 1862 to Barbara Radovi\u010d (Sevlarova<\/a> from Se\u010dje Selo<\/a>)<\/p>\n
