This house originally carried the name of Jankovi. This name is likely derived from the original founder of this household, Janko, Johan or Ivan.<\/p>\n
Through the period of our studies, we have found five distinct houses which originally carried the Papa surname. This is the second of the five houses (in order of house address).<\/p>\n
The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Matija Papa b. 1761. He married Marija Flajnik b. 1765. Together, they had at least 2 children, including:<\/p>\n

Johan Papa b. 1834, m. 1865 to Katarina Mihel\u010di\u010d (Gori\u010dana<\/a>)2<\/sup> — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n 2B. Barbara Papa b. 1838, m. 1864 to Peter Flajnik (Kaplanov<\/a> from Hrast<\/a>).<\/p>\n 2C. Katarina Papa b. 1841, m. 1865 to Jurij Mihel\u010di\u010d (Gori\u010dan<\/a>)2<\/sup>.<\/p>\n 2D. Ana Papa b. 1844, m. 1872 to a man from U\u010dakovci 14<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Matija Papa [1B] m. ca. 1854 to his second wife Katarina \u010cemas (Galeti\u010deva<\/a> from Podklanec<\/a>). They did not have any children.<\/p>\n 2. Jurij Mihel\u010di\u010d and Katarina Mihel\u010di\u010d were siblings.<\/em><\/sup><\/p>\n Johan Papa [2B] and his wife Katarina Mihel\u010di\u010d had 6 children, including:<\/p>\n 3A. Johan Papa b. 1867. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n 3B. Jo\u017ee Papa b. 1872. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n At this point, the Papa lineage at this house ended.
