These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house originally carried the name of Gornji Bubašovi. This name is a direct reference to the surname of the family that lived here. The Gornji prefix is a designation of the position of the house relative to the Dolnji Bubašovi of Učakovci 12.

Through the period of our studies, we have found two distinct houses which originally carried the Bubaš surname. This is the second of the two houses (in order of house address). The Bubaš surname is only originally found in Učakovci but is very common across the river in Croatia. We have found evidence of many Bubaš families particularly in Vukova Gorica and Johi in the Bosiljevo parish. As for the two houses in Učakovci, there is some evidence that these two families may have a common mother in 1758

The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Jurij Bubaš b. 1755. He married Marija Čadonič b. 1758. Together, they had at least 2 children, including:

1A.
