While every house in Slovenia has a civic address, many houses also carry a household name. These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house originally carried the name of Pavli\u010di which likely is a reflection of the man who originally established this household, Pavle or Paul. It was later changed to Gornji Pavli\u010di to accommodate the second Pavli\u010di at U\u010dakovci 31<\/a> who are known as the Spodnji Pavli\u010di.<\/p>\n

Through the period of our studies, we have found 7 distinct houses which originally carried the Verbanec surname in U\u010dakovci<\/a>. This is the second of the seven houses (in order of house address).<\/p>\n

The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Matija Verbanec. He married Katarina Medo\u0161. Together, they had at least 4 children, including:<\/p>\n

1A. Nikolaj Verbanec b. 1802, m. 1835 to Katarina Buba\u0161 (Dolnja Buba\u0161ova<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

1B. Jurij Verbanec b. 1806. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n

1C. Johan Verbanec b. 1812. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n

1D. Miha Verbanec b. 1813. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n

Matija Verbanec m. after 1813 to his second wife Ana Kobeti\u010d b. 1784. Together, they had at least 2 children, including:<\/p>\n

1E. Katarina Verbanec b. 1821, died at the age of 27. At this time, it is unknown if she was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n

1F. Matija Verbanec b. 1824. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n

Nikolaj Verbanec [1A] and his wife Katarina Buba\u0161 had 4 children, including:<\/p>\n

2E. Miha Kobe b. 1850, m. 1873 to Katarina Flajnik (Kova\u010deva<\/a> from Vukovci<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n
