While every house in Slovenia has a civic address, many houses also carry a household name. These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house originally carried the name of Dolnji Buba\u0161ovi. This name is a direct reference to the surname of the family that lived here. The Dolnji prefix is a designation of the position of the house relative to the Gornji Buba\u0161ovi of U\u010dakovci 14.<\/p>\n
Through the period of our studies, we have found two distinct houses which originally carried the Buba\u0161 surname. This is the first of the two houses (in order of house address). The Buba\u0161 surname is only originally found in U\u010dakovci but is very common across the river in Croatia. We have found evidence of many Buba\u0161 families particularly in Vukova Gorica and Johi in the Bosiljevo parish. As for the two houses in U\u010dakovci, there is some evidence that these two families may have a common mother in 1758<\/p>\n
The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for the wife of the patriarch Marija b. 1758. Together, with her husband, she had at least 3 children, including:<\/p>\n

1B. Barbara Buba\u0161 b. 1795, died at the age of 35. At this time, it is unknown if she was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n
1C. Miha Buba\u0161 b. 1799, m. Ana Zajner (Mali Jaderc).<\/p>\n
Jurij Buba\u0161 [1A] and his wife Barbara Brozovi\u010d had at least 3 children, including:<\/p>\n
2A. Johan Buba\u0161 b. 1803, m. ca. 1826 to Barbara Prok\u0161elj — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n
2B. Katarina Buba\u0161 b. 1808, m. 1846 to Miha Kobe (Lesi\u010dev<\/a> from Damelj<\/a>) — they lived at U\u010dakovci 13<\/a>.<\/p>\n 2C. Ana Buba\u0161 b. 1809, m. ca. 1838 to Nikolaj Maljevac (Miki\u010dev<\/a>).<\/p>\n Johan Buba\u0161 [2A] and his wife Barbara Prok\u0161elj had 3 children, including:<\/p>\n 3A. Johan Buba\u0161 b. 1827, m. 1860 to Ana Buba\u0161 (Gornja Buba\u0161ova<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Johan Buba\u0161 [2A] m. ca. 1836 to his second wife Ana \u0160utej (Ober\u0161anova<\/a> from Se\u010dje Selo<\/a>). Ana Buba\u0161 b. 1864, m. 1887 to Johan Papa (Gornji Mlinarov<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Matija Buba\u0161 [3B] and his wife Barbara Papa had 7 children, including:<\/p>\n 4B. Franc Buba\u0161 b. 1876, m. 1897 to Marija Hudak (Kal\u010deva<\/a>) — they lived at U\u010dakovci 42<\/a>.<\/p>\n Johan Papa and his wife Ana Buba\u0161 [4A] had 5 children, including:<\/p>\n 5A.
