The 1674 tax register mentions Ivan and Jure Horvat (Haruath) as having a total of 1 H\u00fcbe of land in <a title=\"Zilje\" href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/preloka\/zilje\/\">Zilje<\/a>. By the mid 1700s, we have found records for one Horvat family in <a title=\"Zilje\" href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/preloka\/zilje\/\">Zilje<\/a>, and a marriage of a Barbara Horvat to an Ive Moravec ca. 1773. This marriage (and marriages with \u017dalec men) explain the extinction of the Horvat surname in <a title=\"Zilje\" href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/preloka\/zilje\/\">Zilje<\/a>. The surname changed yet again in the mid 1900s.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Marko Horvat. He married Katarina. Together, they had at least 5 children, including:<\/p>\n<p>1A. Helena Horvat b. 1766, m. 1788 to \u0160tefan \u017dalec &#8212; they lived at <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/preloka\/zilje\/the-people\/gornje-zilje\/mureticevo-selo\/zilje-13-zalci\/\">Zilje 13<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>1B. Ana Horvat, m. 1769 to Matija \u017dalec &#8212; they lived at <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/preloka\/zilje\/the-people\/gornje-zilje\/mureticevo-selo\/zilje-13-zalci\/\">Zilje 13<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>1C. Barbara Horvat, m. to Johan Moravec.<\/p>\n<p>1D. Doroteja Horvat, m. 1783 to Matija Jaketi\u010d.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Johan Moravec and his wife Barbara Horvat [1C] had 5 children, including:<\/p>\n<p>2A. Peter Moravec b. 1775, m. 1793 to Barbara \u017dalec &#8212; they remained at this house.<\/p>\n<p>2B. Ana Moravec b. 1780, m. 1798 to Jurij \u010cadoni\u010d (<a title=\"Ko\u0161uti\" href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/preloka\/zilje\/the-people\/dolnje-zilje\/zilje-21-kosuti\/\">Ko\u0161utov<\/a>).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Peter Moravec [2A] and his wife Barbara \u017dalec had 3 children, including:<\/p>\n<p>3A. Matija Moravec b. 1807, m. 1827 to Helena Stare\u0161ini\u010d (<a title=\"\u0160peli\u010di-Pe\u010dovi\" href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/preloka\/zilje\/the-people\/gornje-zilje\/gorenjci\/zilje-1-spelici-pecovi\/\">Pe\u010dova<\/a>) &#8212; they remained at this house.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Matija Moravec [3A] and his wife Helena Stare\u0161ini\u010d had 6 children, including:<\/p>\n<p>4A. Magdalena Moravec b. 1893. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n<p>5H. Nikolaj Moravec b. 1895, m. 1921 to Barbara \u010cemas (<a title=\"Hrastovkini-Gornji Hajduki\" href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/preloka\/zilje\/the-people\/dolnje-zilje\/zilje-35-dolnji-krcmari-gornji-hajduki\/\">Gornja Hajdukova<\/a>) &#8212; they remained at this house.<\/p>\n<p>5I.
