While most houses in Slovenia carry a household name, there are some houses which do not exist anymore and were deserted many years before anyone was aware of their existence. The household names for these houses is therefore lost as it was not documented anywhere either. Another contributing factor to this lack of a household name may also be the size of a settlement. Ogulin<\/a> at its peak only had 10 houses which may have lead to a lack of \u201cofficial\u201d household names being documented in church documents. Everyone knew everyone so there was no real need to uniquely identify households. Nonetheless, even though they are not documented, household names still exist for these families today.<\/p>\n

There never was any true continuity of families living at this house. This house was originally inhabited by a Radovi\u010d family but is suspected that this may have only been for one generation before Jurij Beneti\u010d of Golek 5<\/a> moved in and changed the surname at this house. This also was short lived with this family only being here for one generation.<\/p>\n

Another family moved in after the Beneti\u010d occupation but this family has no apparent ties to anyone else in the Vinica parish. The only connection that is evident is one with an Johan Kocijan from Otok (Podzemlj parish<\/a>) but even they quickly left the house and moved to Karlovac. Ownership of the house was transferred to an Agnes Ko\u010devar of Podlog<\/a> (Stari Trg parish<\/a>) who was likely a relative to some degree.<\/p>\n

It is not definitively documented but it would appear that Agnes Ko\u010devar never actually lived at this house. Nevertheless, around 1900, she gave up ownership of this house to Johan Medved (Dolnji Medvedov<\/a>) and his wife Fran\u010di\u0161ka Ko\u010devar (who may have been a sister or perhaps a niece) when he sold his house at Podklanec 4<\/a> to Peter \u017dugelj who at the time was living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with his new family.<\/p>\n

The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for the wife of the patriarch Katarina. Together, with her husband, she had at least 2 children, including:<\/p>\n

1A. Katarina Radovi\u010d b. 1811, m. ca. 1834 to Jurij Beneti\u010d (Beneti\u010dev<\/a> from Golek pri Vinici<\/a>) — they lived at Vinica 25.<\/p>\n

1B. Ana Radovi\u010d b. 1824. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n

Johan Medved (Dolnji Medvedov<\/a>) and his wife Fran\u010di\u0161ka Ko\u010devar (Podlog 4) had 11 children, including:<\/p>\n

2A. Johana Medved b. 1889 in Podklanec 4<\/a>. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n

2B. Agnes Medved b. 1892 in Podklanec 4<\/a>, m. 1920 to Jo\u017ee Miheli\u010d (Mentanov from Vinica<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n

2C. Ana Medved b. 1899 in Podklanec 4<\/a>, m. 1921 to Franc Moravec (Gornji Morav\u010dev<\/a> from Podklanec<\/a>) — they lived at Podklanec 42<\/a>.<\/p>\n

2D. Peter Medved b. 1901 in Podklanec 4<\/a>, m. ca. 1826 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Jennifer Morel.<\/p>\n

2E. Jo\u017eefa Medved b. 1903 in Podklanec 4<\/a>. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n

2F. Kristina Medved b. 1905, m. 1931 in Kirkland Lake, Ontario to Franc Re\u017eelj (Mirna Pe\u010d).<\/p>\n

2G. Angela Medved b. 1907. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n

Jo\u017ee Miheli\u010d and his wife Agnes Medved [2B] had 5 children, including:<\/p>\n

3A. Katarina Miheli\u010d b. 1914. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n

3B. Ana Miheli\u010d b. 1920 in Vinica 8. died at the age of 79. At this time, it is unknown if she was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n
