\"Mureti\u010devo<\/a>Mureti\u010devo selo (pronounced Mareti\u010devo selo<\/em>) is at the eastern edge of Gornje Zilje<\/a>. It is likely named for its founders, three families with surname Mureti\u010d. The Tax Register of 1674 records Thome, Ivan and Jure Mureti\u010d living in Zilje<\/a> and holding a total of 2 H\u00fcbe. The 1690 register has no mention of any landholders with this surname, although Church Records do indicate there were still individuals with the Mureti\u010d surname living in Zilje<\/a> at the end of the 18th century, most notably a 1774 marriage between a Matija Vrane\u0161i\u010d from Podklanec<\/a> and Helena Mureti\u010d from Zilje<\/a>. It is possible this marriage saw the end of the Mureti\u010d surname in Zilje<\/a>, and a change of household surname to Vrane\u0161i\u010d.<\/p>\n

The surname Horvat is also documented in the tax registers. Church Records as old as 1749 do record individuals with this surname in Zilje<\/a>, most notably in marriages of Horvat women with \u017dalec and Moravec men. \u017dalci<\/a>, Brdari<\/a> and Moravci<\/a> families of the 1800s in Zilje<\/a> descend from these marriages. There is no mention of the surnames \u017dalec or Moravec in either of the tax registers, and if they did indeed marry into the Horvat families of Zilje<\/a>, it is unclear where they came from. At this time, based on other findings, many Moravec families are primarily found in Vinica Parish<\/a>. Many \u017dalec families lived and still live in the Sinji Vrh Parish<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
