Through the period of our studies, we have found 4 distinct houses which carried the Male\u0161i\u010d surname. This is the last of the four houses (in order of house address). The Male\u0161i\u010d surname is only originally found in Podklanec<\/a> as well as some villages on the other side of the Kolpa in Croatia.<\/p>\n The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Matija Male\u0161i\u010d b. 1761. Together with his wife, they had at least 1 child, including:<\/p>\n 1A. Ana Male\u0161i\u010d b. 1791, m. ca. 1823 to Peter Flajnik — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n Peter Flajink and his wife Ana Male\u0161i\u010d [1A] had at least 7 children, including:<\/p>\n 2A. Marija Flajnik b. 1823, m. 1842 to a man from Croatia.<\/p>\n 2B. Jurij Flajnik b. 1829, m. 1847 to Helena \u010cadoni\u010d (Ko\u0161utova<\/a> from Zilje<\/a>).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Ana Male\u0161i\u010d [1A] m. Aft. 1831 to her second husband Jakob \u0160tukelj (Starihov Vrh). Together, they had at least 1 child, including:<\/p>\n 2C. Matija \u0160tukelj b. 1835. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Jurij Flajnik [2B] and his wife Helena \u010cadoni\u010d did not have any children therefore ending the original Male\u0161i\u010d lineage at this house.<\/p>\n At this point, Johan Benec (Podklanec 16<\/a>) and Ana Buba\u0161 moved into the vacant house to have their family.<\/p>\n Johan Benec and his wife Ana Buba\u0161 had 8 children, including:<\/p>\n 2A. Franc Benec b. 1892. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n 2B. Marija Benec b. 1893, m. 1911 to Jo\u017ee \u0160peli\u010d (Drenovec 3).<\/p>\n 2C. Jo\u017ee Benec b. 1897, m. 1921 to Johana Flajnik (Kaplanova<\/a> from Hrast<\/a>)1<\/sup> — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n 2D. Jurij Benec b. 1901, m. 1927 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Ana Zatov\u0161ek (Lukinova<\/a>).<\/p>\n 2E. Barbara Benec b. 1905, m. 1926 to Jo\u017ee Brkopec (Vinica 59).<\/p>\n 2F. Angela Benec b. 1907, m. 1931 to Janez Flajnik (Kaplanov<\/a> from Hrast<\/a>)1<\/sup>.<\/p>\n 1.
