The Tirolci household at Zilje 43 was built by Johan Jaketi\u010d (Ivi\u010din<\/a>) ca. 1870. He was the oldest son at the\u00a0Ivi\u010dini<\/a> household, yet he left and built his own house. He might have done so because his cousin Jurij \u010cadoni\u010d, the next oldest male at the Ivi\u010dini<\/a>, already had a son in 1866, and Johan still had none, after six years of marriage. Johan may have also gone to work in one of the many factories springing up in the Tyrol, explaining the household name, and leaving his wife at home, childless. The house is no longer inhabited.<\/p>\n

The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Johan Jaketi\u010d (Ivi\u010din<\/a>). He married Marija \u010cemas (Mala Maji\u0161\u010darka<\/a>). They did not have any children.<\/p>\n

Having no children, Johan and Marija must have invited Marko Bro\u017ei\u010d (Gornji Bro\u017ei\u010dev<\/a>) and his wife Ana Vrane\u0161i\u010d (Matkova<\/a>) to live at the Tirolci. Marko and Ana married, lived at the Gornji Bro\u017ei\u010di<\/a>, then moved to the USA. When they returned to Zilje<\/a> in 1902, they moved into the Tirolci.<\/p>\n

Marko Bro\u017ei\u010d and his wife Ana Vrane\u0161i\u010d had 4 children, including:<\/p>\n

1A. Jo\u017ee Bro\u017ei\u010d b. 1902, died at the age of 23. At this time, it is unknown if he was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n

Around this time, Johan Jaketi\u010d (Mikula\u0161ev<\/a>) and Marija Vrane\u0161i\u010d (Matkova<\/a>), Ana’s sister, moved into the Tirolci household after all their children left their home at the Mikula\u0161i<\/a>. Marija and Ana were known as the ‘Tirolke’.<\/p>\n
