The household names for these houses is therefore lost as it was not documented anywhere either. The house at Podklanec 16 is one of those houses.<\/p>\n<p>Through the period of our studies, we have found 4 distinct houses which carried the Benec surname. This is the second of the four houses (in order of house address). The Benec surname is only originally found in <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/podklanec\/\">Podklanec<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for\u00a0the wife of the patriarch Ana Hudak b. 1774. Together, with her husband, she had at least 4 children, including:<\/p>\n<p>1A. Johan Benec b. 1796, m. ca. 1829 to Katarina Kajin (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/podklanec\/the-people\/dolnji-podklanec\/podklanec-8-poljankini\/\">Poljankina<\/a>) &#8212; they remained at this house.<\/p>\n<p>1B. Marija Benec b. 1804, died at the age of 42. At this time, it is unknown if she was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n<p>1C. Ana Benec b. 1809, m. 1838 to Peter Tomec (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/podklanec\/the-people\/gornji-podklanec\/podklanec-30-lovreci\/\">Lovre\u010dov<\/a>).<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Johan Benec [1A] and his wife Katarina Kajin had 5 children, including:<\/p>\n<p>2A. Katarina Benec b. 1830, m. ca. 1854 to Miha Miroslavi\u010d (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/golek-pri-vinici\/the-people\/golek-pri-vinici-1-tomicevi\/\">Tomi\u010dev<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/golek-pri-vinici\/\">Golek<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>2B. Jurij Benec b. 1836, m. 1858 to Katarina Karin (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/podklanec\/the-people\/dolnji-podklanec\/podklanec-10-gornji-karini\/\">Gornja Karinova<\/a>) &#8212; they remained at this house.<\/p>\n<p>2C. Ana Benec b. 1836, had 1 illegitimate child &#8212; she remained at this house.<\/p>\n<p>2D. Marija Benec b. 1839, m. 1863 to Miha \u0160tajdohar (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/hrast-pri-vinici\/the-people\/hrast-pri-vinici-22-kalihcani\/\">Kalih\u010dan<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/hrast-pri-vinici\/\">Hrast<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Katarina Kajin m. 1845 to her second husband Jo\u017ee Miroslavi\u010d (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/golek-pri-vinici\/the-people\/golek-pri-vinici-1-tomicevi\/\">Tomi\u010dev<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/golek-pri-vinici\/\">Golek<\/a>). Together they had 3 children, including:<\/p>\n<p>2E. Barbara Miroslavi\u010d b. 1847, m. 1876 to Matija Stanko (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/podklanec\/the-people\/gornji-podklanec\/podklanec-36-muznovi\/\">Mu\u017enov<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>2F. Jo\u017ee Miroslavi\u010d b. 1850, m. 1876 to Ana Mravinec (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/golek-pri-vinici\/the-people\/golek-pri-vinici-4-mravinci\/\">Mravin\u010deva<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/golek-pri-vinici\/\">Golek<\/a>) &#8212; they remained at this house.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Jurij Benec [2B] and his wife Katarina Karin had 6 children, including:<\/p>\n<p>3A. Katarina Benec b. 1860, m. 1878 to Jurij Lukani\u010d (Draga 13) &#8212; they remained at this house.<\/p>\n<p>3B. Johan Benec b. 1864, m. 1890 to Ana Buba\u0161 (Vukova Gorica 1) &#8212; they lived at <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/podklanec\/the-people\/gornji-podklanec\/podklanec-24-jakopovi\/\">Podklanec 24<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>3C. Helena Benec b. 1870, m. 1890 to Jo\u017ee Tomec (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/podklanec\/the-people\/gornji-podklanec\/podklanec-29-tomcevi\/\">Tom\u010dev<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jo\u017eef Miroslavi\u010d [2F] and his wife Ana Mravinec had 5 children, including:<\/p>\n<p>3D. Jo\u017ee Miroslavi\u010d b. 1882. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n<p>At this point, Jo\u017ee Miroslavi\u010d and Ana Mravinec moved their family to <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/podklanec\/the-people\/gornji-podklanec\/podklanec-37\/\">Podklanec 37<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Jurij Lukani\u010d and his wife Katarina Benec [3A] had 1 child which died in early childhood.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>While most houses in Slovenia carry a household name, there are some houses which do not exist anymore and were deserted many years before anyone was aware of their existence.
