These names are how other people typically referred to that family. This house carries the name of Poljankini. The origin of the name is unknown to us at this time.<\/p>\n<p>Through the period of our studies, we have found 5 distinct houses which carried the Kajin surname&#8211;not to be confused with the Karin surname. This is the first of the five houses (in order of house address). The Kajin surname is only originally found in the village of <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/podklanec\/\">Podklanec<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This house may have been one of the original Kajin households in Podklanec having a branch at <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/podklanec\/the-people\/dolnji-podklanec\/podklanec-35-gornji-kajinovi-jelkini\/\">Podklanec 35<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>The oldest record we have found to date for a person from this house is for Johan Kajin b. before 1740. Together with his wife, they had at least 2 children, including:<\/p>\n<p>1A. Marko Kajin b. 1765, m. 1786 to Katarina Tomec &#8212; they remained at this house.<\/p>\n<p>1B. Miha Kajin b. 1785, m. ca. 1816 to Ana Belavi\u010d (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/podklanec\/the-people\/dolnji-podklanec\/podklanec-33-belavicevi\/\">Belavi\u010deva<\/a>) &#8212; they lived at <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/podklanec\/the-people\/dolnji-podklanec\/podklanec-33-belavicevi\/\">Podklanec 33<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Marko Kajin [1A] and his wife Katarina Tomec had at least 4 children, including:<\/p>\n<p>2A. Jurij Kajin b. 1796, m. ca. 1820 to Katarina Stare\u0161ini\u010d &#8212; they remained at this house.<\/p>\n<p>2B. Katarina Kajin b. 1805. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n<p>2C. Ana Kajin b. 1810, m. 1835 to Matija Benec (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/podklanec\/the-people\/dolnji-podklanec\/podklanec-13-markici\/\">Marki\u010dev<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>2D. Marko Kajin b. 1814. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Jurij Kajin [2A] and his wife Katarina Stare\u0161ini\u010d had 4 children, including:<\/p>\n<p>3A. Barbara Kajin b. 1824. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n<p>3B. Katarina Kajin b. 1827. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n<p>3C. Ana Kajin b. 1832. At this time, it is unknown what happened to her afterwards.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With no living descendents of the Poljankini, Jo\u017ee Kajin (Gornji Kajinov) moved into this house with his wife Barbara Rogina. Although there is no solid evidence to support this yet, it is believed that the <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/podklanec\/the-people\/dolnji-podklanec\/podklanec-35-gornji-kajinovi-jelkini\/\">Gornji Kajinovi<\/a> of <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/podklanec\/the-people\/dolnji-podklanec\/podklanec-35-gornji-kajinovi-jelkini\/\">Podklanec 35<\/a> are descendents of the Poljankini.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Jo\u017ee Kajin and his wife Barbara Rogina b. 1822 had 8 children, including:<\/p>\n<p>4A. Jo\u017ee Kajin b. 1845, m. 1875 to Katarina \u0160nelar (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/kovacji-grad\/the-people\/kovacji-grad-2-polancevi\/\">Polan\u010deva<\/a> from <a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/kovacji-grad\/\">Kova\u010dji Grad<\/a>) &#8212; they remained at this house.<\/p>\n<p>4B. Marija Kajin b. 1852, m. 1870 at Spahi\u010di 6.<\/p>\n<p>4C. Ana Kajin b. 1856, m. 1879 to Jakob Male\u0161i\u010d (<a href=\"http:\/\/gfamilytree.com\/history\/the-places-we-come-from\/bela-krajina-white-carniola\/crnomelj\/vinica\/podklanec\/the-people\/dolnji-podklanec\/podklanec-14-brackovi\/\">Bra\u010dkov<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>4D. Matija Kajin b. 1864. At this time, it is unknown what happened to him afterwards.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Jo\u017ee Kajin [4A] and his wife Katarina \u0160nelar had 10 children, including:<\/p>\n<p>5A.
