This house carries the name of Medvedovi. based on the original owners of the house. Given that this house name corresponds to the surname of the residents of the house, it is not unrealistic to believe that this may have been the original Medved family in Podklanec.<\/p>\n
Through the period of our studies, we have found three distinct houses which originally carried the Medved surname in Podklanec<\/a>. This is the third of the three houses (in order of house address). The Medved surname is only originally found in Podklanec<\/a> and across much of the Sinji Vrh parish<\/a>.<\/p>\n The oldest records we have found to date for a person from this house is for several siblings, including:<\/p>\n 1A. Nikolaj Medved b. 1782, m. ca. 1805 to Katarina Flajnik — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n 1B. Barbara Medved b. 1790, had 1 illegitimate child — she remained at this house.<\/p>\n Nikolaj Medved [1A] and his wife Katarina Flajnik had 6 children, including:<\/p>\n 2A. Ana Medved b. 1806, m. 1830 to Jo\u017ee Karin (Dolnji Karinov<\/a>).<\/p>\n 2B. Nikolaj Medved b. 1810, m. ca. 1831 to Katarina Radovi\u010d (Radovi\u010deva<\/a> from Se\u010dje Selo<\/a>) — they lived at Podklanec 1<\/a>.<\/p>\n 2C. Johan Medved b. 1815, m. 1838 to Barbara \u010cemas (Galeti\u010deva<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n 2B. Katarina Medved b. 1819, m. ca. 1847 Jurij Benec (Kucanov<\/a>).<\/p>\n 2C. Margareta Medved b. 1822. died at the age of 28. At this time, it is unknown if she was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n 2D. Barbara Medved b. 1824. died at the age of 21. At this time, it is unknown if she was ever married or had children.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Nikolaj Medved [1A] m. to his second wife Marija Stegne but did not have any children with her.<\/p>\n Johan Medved [2C] and his wife Barbara \u010cemas had 3 children, including:<\/p>\n 3A. Johan Medved b. 1838, m. 1861 to Barbara \u010cadoni\u010d (Biri\u010deva<\/a> from Balkovci<\/a>) — they remained at this house.<\/p>\n 3B. Ana Medved b. 1840, m. 1861 to a man from Spahi\u010di.<\/p>\n Johan Medved [3A] and his wife Barbara \u010cadoni\u010d had 4 children, including:<\/p>\n 4A. Ana Medved b. 1863, m. 1887 to Peter Rogina (Mikulinov<\/a> from Stara Lipa<\/a>).<\/p>\n 4B. Margareta Medved b. 1867.
